Since the beginning of the 80's, in France and in Europe, golf has been growing in popularity. Seeing this opportunity, the Landes, situated in a beautiful natural environment, decided to build an international Golf Complex to help develop its tourist activity all year round. To do this the best architect at the time was chosen : Robert Trent Jones Senior. The combinaision of the architect's genius and the natural environment created an exceptional 27 hole golf complex.

The Moliets course is considered to be one of the 12 best golfs in Aquitaine. The French Golf Federation, appreciative of the climate in Moliets and the quality of the amenities on the course, chose Moliets to create a National Winter Training Centre. The Moliets course also used by the European Challenge Tour as part of the European circuit.
